Black Dahlia is a private tattoo studio located in a suite collective in Turnersville, NJ. The studio is minutes from major highways and a short drive from both Philadelphia and the Jersey shore.​​

Black Dahlia is a single artist private tattoo studio, owned and operated by Sarah Cortese. Sarah has been tattooing locally in public studio spaces for the past sixteen years, though decided to go private in 2026.  ​

Sarah has spent years working to refine her style, and will only tattoo within the black and grey stipple shading you see on her portfolio page. 

If your design inquiry involves color or is vastly different than the work Sarah provides, she will do her best to refer you to a reputable local artist that specializes in your request.

Sarah is registered with the Gloucester County Health Department, practices and maintains clean, aeseptic, sterile tattooing techniques, and remains up to date on yearly Osha safety training.

Sarah hopes to provide a one of a kind curated experience for every appointment. The building is wheelchair accessible and the tattoo suite can accommodate a client as well as one guest or personal advocate.
